InCuring ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our clinical trial matching service at incuring.com.

What We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to provide our service:

  • Anonymous usage events: Page views, button clicks, and navigation patterns
  • Eligibility inputs: ZIP code, search radius, and optional condition keywords for trial matching
  • Optional email: Only if you choose to provide it for results delivery
  • Technical data: Browser type, device type, and approximate location (from IP address)

What We Do NOT Collect

We explicitly do not collect:

  • Social Security Numbers or government IDs
  • Medical records or health insurance information
  • Clinician notes or treatment histories
  • Financial or payment information
  • Any information not directly provided by you through our forms

How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Improve trial matching: Generate personalized shortlists based on your location and preferences
  • Analytics: Understand how users interact with our service to make improvements
  • Fraud prevention: Detect and prevent misuse of our service
  • Service communications: Send results to your email if you provided one

Information Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal data. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

Data Retention

  2. Include any of the following identifiers if you have them (these can be found at the bottom of your eligibility results page):
    • Intake ID: The unique identifier for your eligibility submission
    • Journey ID: Your session identifier
    • Anonymous ID: Your anonymized browser identifier

We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion via email. You can also reach us through our contact page.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser storage technologies to improve your experience:

  • anon_id: An anonymous identifier to track your session across pages
  • journey_id: Tracks your path through the eligibility process for analytics

These identifiers are anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. They are stored locally in your browser and are not shared with third parties.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure database storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Clinical Trial Data

Clinical trial information displayed on InCuring is sourced from ClinicalTrials.gov, a service of the U.S. National Institutes of Health. We do not modify the clinical trial data itself, though we may filter and rank results based on your inputs.
